A man from New Harbour has been arrested and charged for alleged threats against a Crown Prosecutor.
Edward Gellately was arrested Friday evening with the help of the Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services.
RCMP responded after a threatening message was left on the voicemail of a Crown Prosecutor in Harbour Grace.
Gellately appeared in court on Saturday on charges of intimidation of a justice participant, careless use of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm.
He’s being held in custody pending a scheduled appearance in court tomorrow morning in St. John’s.
