A Paradise family plagued with sewer backups for the last 15 years has reached a deal with the town and will be moving into their new home early in the new year.
The final straw for Jim Clarke and his family was in September when the neighbouring sewage lift station ran into serious trouble, spraying sewage over his home and property.

Clarke says money to allow the town to purchase his home came down in the municipal budget last night and he couldn’t be happier.
He received a text last night indicating that the motion to buy him out was passed, and the town’s lawyers will be contacting his lawyer.
“We’re finally set free…thank God,” says Clarke.
He’s hoping to move into his new home in February.
