Confederation Hill will light up in bright colours this evening as the province joins cities across the country in ringing in the holiday season.
The Christmas Lights Across Canada Celebration is an annual event where the capital of each province and territory flips the switch to turn on their Christmas lights to symbolically link all Canadians for the holidays.
This year, approximately 60,000 LED lights will be used to light up Confederation Building’s Christmas tree, and the trees leading down the parkway.
The switch is set to be flipped at 6:00 tonight.
