Our Divas Do Christmas brings local talent and shine to the stage, but it also brings care and support for local charities.
The show is supporting the Pottle Centre this year. On Thursday night’s sold out performance at the Arts and Culture Centre, $40,000 was donated to the cause.
The Pottle Centre is a social centre for those who use mental health services in St. John’s. They provide a safe and healthy location for people to be social and take part in special events.
Cheques from BHP, Halliburton and ClanMac/Growlers Give were presented on stage to the Pottle Centre’s Executive Director Leah Lewis.
Diva Sheilagh Guy Murphy says when it comes to the show, it’s not just about who’s on stage.
Guy Murphy believes it takes a village. To her, it’s a community coming together—from the performers to the audience, supporters and donators.
