Two politicians differ significantly on the performance of the Labrador ferry system this shipping season.
Labrador West NDP MHA Jordan Brown says the government should apologize to people for what he called the disastrous ferry service from L’anse au Claire to Nain. However, the minister of transportation rejects that contention. Steve Crocker says this is the earliest that all supplies have been shipped to the north, and that most of the problems they experienced were shore-based.
Nevertheless, he says they will try to do things better.
He says a committee will be formed to look at what they can do to improve the system, and that the MHA for Torngat Mountains, Lela Evans, will be on it.
