Droves of fans turned out yesterday for a chance to meet a popular TV pooch, and it was all for a good cause.
Diesel, known as “Rex” from the TV series Hudson and Rex, was at Pet Valu on Kelsey Drive in St. John’s taking pictures with fans to raise money for the FurEver Young Senior Animal Rescue.
Well over 100 fans turned out to give a donation and meet the K-9 celebrity.

Kelsey Muise, the President of FurEver Young, started the foundation five years ago.
She says that all of the donations mean so much.
Their vet bills are constantly going up. As well, they need to pay for boarding for the animals they help, so the funds raised will be a big help.
