It’s a Christmas tradition that’s been carried out for the last 12 years.

Rogers Rogers Moyse is hosting its annual Christmas Community Dinner at the Knights of Columbus on St. Clare Avenue today.

Guests will be treated to a full turkey dinner while the children will get a gift from Santa.

Founder Richard Rogers launched the annual event after observing the centre city neighbourhood in which his office is located. He says it struck him that there might be families in the area who don’t have access to a nice Christmas dinner.

Rogers says they look forward to the dinner each year as a way to give back.

The entire event is put off through volunteer efforts – from the donation of food and drink to the cooking, preparation and serving of the food.

The dinner takes place at noon. VOCM News will be there.
