There’s an outbreak of E. coli stemming from consumption of salad kits in several provinces including Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Public Health Agency of Canada says exposure to Fresh Express brand Sunflower Crisp Chopped Salad Kits sold in 315 g packages in November has been identified as the likely source of the outbreak.
The products have a best before date of December 7.
Canadians are advised not to eat the recalled product. So far, one person in this province has become sick with E. coli. Sixteen people from Newfoundland/Labrador to Ontario have gotten sick.
