The provincial government and its largest union have reached a tentative agreement which includes salary increases.
NAPE says the agreements covering the various bargaining units include higher wages and other post-employment benefits. The union recommends acceptance.
The workers covered by the deal include Air Services, College of the North Atlantic, correctional officers, general service, group homes, health professionals, hospital support staff, Lab and X-ray, ferry workers, maintenance workers, Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation, school boards, student assistants, ushers, and Workplace NL.
No other details are being released until after the vote, which begins in January.
The government’s second-largest union, CUPE, has yet to reach an agreement for their workers.
