A new poll shows satisfaction with the Liberals in Newfoundland and Labrador has gone up by five percentage points in the last three months of the calendar year.
Narrative Research says just over half of Newfoundland and Labrador residents now express satisfaction with the government. Satisfaction has jumped from 47 per cent in the summer to 52 per cent in the fall.
As for voter intentions, results have been fairly consistent since August with the Liberal Party maintaining 42 per cent of the vote, the PC’s 33 and the NDP at 24.
Twenty-two per cent of NL voters are undecided, and two per cent do not plan to vote in the next provincial election.
On the question of leadership, Premier Dwight Ball remains the preferred choice for premier with 36 per cent, PC Leader Ches Crosbie at 23 and NDP Leader Alison Coffin 19.
The survey is based on a sample size of 800 adult residents in the province from October 31 to November 22 with overall results accurate to within plus-or-minus 3.5 percentage points 95 times out of 100.
