PC Leader Ches Crosbie is asking the Citizens’ Representative to investigate Premier Dwight Ball for wrongdoing in connection to the hiring of Carla Foote at The Rooms.
Crosbie says there is a lot of evidence in the Mitchelmore Report, but it was focused on Mitchelmore’s role, and not the Premier’s.
He believes there are reasonable grounds to cause the Citizens’ Representative to initiate this complaint and get to the bottom of it. Crosbie says he doesn’t take any pleasure in it because it’s about political corruption at the very top of the political system of the province.
As the Opposition Leader, Crosbie believes he has a duty to defend the province’s traditions and institutions of democracy against political corruption and unethical practice.
The PC Leader says the public should be concerned because the economic welfare of a province is whether or not people are getting good government.
Crosbie says regrettably, the province is now finding out it’s getting bad government as this is a government that will not take responsibility for anything they do.
