The two students charged with conspiracy to commit murder will not be allowed to attend school for the foreseeable future.
That was one of the conditions imposed by the court system on two students at Sacred Heart Academy in Marystown who were charged with conspiracy to commit murder and uttering death threats.
Burin Peninsula RCMP responded to reports of death threats being made against students and staff at the K-7 school at around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
RCMP Corporal Jolene Garland says the police often respond to threats but conspiracy to commit murder is more serious. She says conspiracy takes a threat up to the next level because it involves planning.
The two appeared in court on Thursday. Both have been released on a number of conditions and will be back in court on January 15, 2020.
