The Northeast Eagles Peewee Hockey team is presenting a $17,000 donation to Rainbow Riders this Sunday.

The money was raised during the team’s Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup and will be used not only for free riding days for the kids at Rainbow Riders, but due to the large amount, as well as charitable discount from NL Kubota Limited, the money will also help purchase an RTV Sidekick with an electric hydrolic power lift.

Kelly Sandoval from Rainbow Riders explained how the utility vehicle will help the barn staff and volunteers tremendously with the heavier tasks involved with caring for the horses, and how the fundraiser went “well beyond expectations.”

She says it’s just so heartwarming to see young people like them be so motivated to go fundraising to this level.
