The Newfoundland Growlers have extended their winning streak at home to nine straight.

Last night the Growlers etched a 5-3 victory over the Adirondack Thunder at Mile One.

It was a busy first period. The Thunder struck first with two early goals just minutes apart. The Growlers would then respond with three unanswered goals giving them a 3-2 lead heading into the second period.

The Thunder tied things up in the second, but it was not meant to be as the Growlers scored two unanswered goals in the third to take home the win.

The Growlers look to keep their at home win streak alive in a rematch with the Thunder tonight at Mile One.
