The Town of Portugal Cove-St. Philips has set its budget for 2020.
The town says it has shaved some $1.8 million dollars in expenses from its annual budget since 2017 without reducing municipal infrastructure, programs and services.
This year the town will embark on major road work and focus on the water loss and conservation program.
Property taxes are set at 6.5 mils while business taxes are at 8.1 mils.
