A $750-million contract was announced today, moving the long-promised west coast hospital one step closer to reality.

Today Premier Dwight Ball announced the Corner Brook Health Partnership has been selected to design, construct and maintain the new facility that was first announced over ten years and five premiers ago.

The 164-bed facility will be seven-storeys and 600,000 square feet, and is scheduled to be completed in 2023.

The Partnership includes Plenary Group, PCL Constructors Canada, Marco Services and Johnson Controls Canada.
