The newly elected member for St. John’s East-Quidi Vidi is cynical about the federal government’s Throne Speech suggestion that Parliament study the implementation of a universal dental care program.
The NDP’s Jack Harris says his party had a basic plan ready to go, and he’s doubtful the federal government will have anything available for years to come.
He says the NDP hadn’t proposed a universal program, but something more “practical” that could be implemented right away.
