There were lots of blankets and hot chocolate needed at a fundraising event at Topsail Beach yesterday as the NL Beard and Moustache Club hosted their third annual polar bear dip.
A few dozen swimmers ran out into the frigid waters yesterday, all in support Bridges to Hope.
Robert Eveleigh was one of the swimmers who braved the cold for the cause.
He says there was a lot of motivation to participate in the dip.
Eveleigh says it has always been on his bucket list of things to do, and he wanted to help out bridges to hope as well. He says that is what it was all about.
