Fire crews made quick work of a blaze at St. Patrick’s Church in Carbonear on Sunday
Pictures and video from the scene show smoke billowing from the basement area of the Church.
Fire Chief Brent Sweeny says the blaze was in the furnace room of the building, noting it didn’t take long for responders to take control of the situation.
The extent of damage is unknown at this time.
