The family of John Crosbie is saddened to share the news that Mr. Crosbie is declining in health.

His wife Jane and other family members are with him at his bedside. His oldest son, and Leader of the Provincial PC Party, Ches Crosbie says they deeply appreciate the outpouring of support they are receiving.

He says it is consoling to know that their father, who dedicated his life to serving the province and the country is beloved throughout Newfoundland and Labrador and across Canada.

The family are asking for privacy during this difficult time but are profoundly grateful to all who are reaching out to comfort them. Crosbie says the well wishes and prayers are greatly appreciated.

In the days to come, Crosbie says the family will provide further information as they have news to share.
