Newfoundland Growlers have extended their winning streak to seven straight games on the road. They managed to hold onto their lead against the Maine Mariners to come out on top with a final score of 3-2.
After a hectic travel day, the team showed up at the arena in Maine just 90 minutes before puck drop.
The Mariners scored the initial goal but the Growlers tied it up before the end of the first. Mariners started strong in the second, but later in the period the Growlers stepped up their offence and scored twice.
The team heads to Worcester today for their game at 8:35 p.m. NL time.
