The southern portion of the island will see more snow overnight.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Justin Boudreau says a snowfall warning has been issued for the south coast of Newfoundland with snow beginning in the afternoon.
Boudreau says most areas can expect around 15 cm. He says the southern half of the Burin Peninsula and the Avalon Peninsula may see more.
Northern Avalon is looking at close to 10 cm while the Clarenville area will see around 5 – 10 cm.
Boudreau says the snow will be light and fluffy which means blowing snow may be a factor in some areas.
The temperature will be around minus 10-15 degrees in most areas.
Boudreau says the snow will end by tomorrow morning.
