Husky says its workers in the offshore are safe and sound.
The current blizzard pummeling the island is primarily an onshore event according to Husky officials and both the SeaRose FPSO and the drill rig Henry Goodrich have been monitoring the storm and working through their adverse weather checklists and protocols.
Husky has not down staffed either facility.
Meanwhile, HMDC, which operates the Hibernia platform, Exxon Mobil Canada’s Hebron project says no one was removed from its facilities and they are continuing to monitor weather conditions in the offshore. Sea states are expected to increase tomorrow and operational adjustments will be made as needed.
