Schools in the St. John’s-Metro region are going to remain closed for the rest of the week.
They did not open Friday, and will not re-open until Monday at the earliest. Getting to and from school in many areas would be dangerous, so the English School District is going to leave them closed.
In addition, for the entire Avalon region only, all high school mid-term, final, and public exams scheduled to begin the week of January 27 will be delayed until the week of February 3. #nlschools #nlwx

That raises numerous side issues, including the loss of eight days of instructional time on the curriculum.
All high school mid-term, final and public exams scheduled to start Monday will be delayed until Monday, February 3. That applies to the entire Avalon region.
The Carbonear School system which includes Persalvic, St. Francis, Carbonear Academy and Carbonear Collegiate will be closed tomorrow.
CSFP schools in the St. John’s-Metro region will also be closed for the remainder of the week.
