A Badger family is moved by a show of great sportsmanship and kindness during a basketball tournament in Gander on the weekend.
This is 10-year-old Jaxon Kerpan’s first year with the Avoca Collegiate Bombers.
His team mates really wanted to see him get a shot, and when he missed on his first attempt, they cheered him on, giving him several more tries until he finally got his basket.
The Grade 5 student says he loves basketball and playing for Avoca. He and his mom Kellie tell VOCM News he appreciates the support.
Avoca came back from the tournament with a silver medal.
