There were no injuries as the result of a fire on board the trawler the Newfoundland Lynx late yesterday afternoon.

Ocean Choice International says the vessel docked safely at St. Anthony late last night where it was met by the St. Anthony Fire Department.

The approximately 35 crew members were discharged safely from the vessel. The cause of the fire is under investigation and the extent of damage is being assessed.

The company commends crew members for their professionalism in containing the fire.
