Canada Post has developed a strategy to get mail delivery back up and running as normal in the metro region.

Delivery staff are focusing on completing the delivery of about one third of their routes, allowing Canada Post to focus on certain areas while allowing city crews and contractors the time to clear streets and mail boxes.

Delivery will continue through Saturday and Sunday to catch up on mail delivery.

Fewer than 20 per cent of community mailboxes still need to be cleared but narrow streets still pose a challenge in some areas.
