In the wake of yet another weather event that brought snow and heavy rain to the metro region, the Mayor of St. John’s is renewing his calls for parents to be extra vigilant when their kids are out and about.
Danny Breen says city staff have noticed children out playing on snowbanks while work is being done.
According to Breen, especially after the rain and subsequent freezing, there are many inherent dangers.
Aside from slips and falls, the city still has a lot of heavy equipment out clearing away the snow.
