A 40-year-old man was arrested yesterday evening in connection to a robbery that took place last month.

Shortly before 6:00 p.m. the RNC were called to a house in the east end of St. John’s to arrest the man on an outstanding warrant.

The suspect was hiding inside the home and resisted arrest.

Following the incident one police officer had to be taken to hospital for a minor injury.

The man has been charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and breaches of court orders.

He was held for court.
