The T’Railway is bracing for what could be significant damage to a section of the T’Railway in Conception Bay South.
A lengthy portion of the trail from Indian Pond west incurred heavy damage in the January 17th blizzard. Given the time of year, it’s impossible to assess the damage.
Rick Noseworthy, president of the T’Railway Federation, says they will be approaching government for help to restore the trail. It could be in the millions, but it’s possible that it may not be.
He says there are pipes exposed along the trail in Foxtrap in addition to the Seal Cove damage but they really do not know the full extent.
It took about a year to restore the T’Railway following Hurricane Igor in 2010.
