A St. John’s couple who had been in self-isolation following a vacation that included a trip to Italy and a stay on board a cruise ship has tested negative for COVID-19.
Bev Moore Davis and her husband Tom went on the trip last month. She says the vacation was booked well in advance and when they left, concerns about coronavirus were still quite new.
All that changed when both fell ill on the cruise ship. Moore Davis says her symptoms were very different from her husband’s.
She developed a 3-day headache, nausea and night sweats while her husband picked up a persistent cough and runny nose.
With an abundance of caution, the couple decided to isolate themselves at home while they awaited test results.
