The NunatuKavut Community Council has officially set the date for its upcoming election.
On May 26, the polls will open to select the NCC’s new governing council.
The president, councillors, and a youth councillor are up for election, while the elder and executive council will be appointed thereafter.
As well, a new councillor position has been created to represent full members living outside Labrador.
Debbie Goudie has been appointed to the role of Chief Elections Officer. Further details will be available once the elections office is up and running.
