An international flight coming from Cancun, Mexico, landed in St. John’s for a medical diversion early this morning, but it was not COVID-19 related.
Marketing and Communications Advisor with the St. John’s International Airport Authority, Kaitlyn Hickey, says all 340 passengers and 11 crew members were screened as they were leaving the plane. She says the airport followed all protocol recommended by the Public Health Agency.
The plane is set to take off tonight at 8 p.m. They are bound for the UK.
