A 22-year-old woman is in custody following a violent altercation in the capital city late last night.

RNC were called to the east end around 10 p.m. to reports of an alleged stabbing. They discovered that a woman had be injured in the incident.

Officers arrested the 22-year-old at the scene, and upon further investigation, charged her with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and choking.

She was brought to lockup to wait for a court appearance.

Meanwhile, the victim was treated for her injuries and released.
