All trials and court appearances are suspended in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador says that includes some exceptions.
Cases, trials, bail hearings for those currently in custody and other urgent matters will be heard.
The Supreme Court and Court of Appeal will be closed to the public on March 17 and 18, with exception for counsel, parties, witnesses and those directly involved in court matters,
The Court is asking those who have travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days, or anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms to not attend the courthouse, but to call the local court for instructions.
Further updates will be posted online as they become available.
