The City of St. John’s has provided another update on its operations in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
All public meetings and events hosted by the city have been cancelled until further notice.
As well, recycling collection is suspended for the next two weeks.
Access to Humane Services will be limited. People looking to adopt a pet or collect a lost animal are asked to call ahead.
While City Hall is not yet closing, officials are asking the public to avoid visiting city facilities, and instead conduct business over the phone or online where possible.
Mayor Breen will speak with media for another update on city operations ahead of city council this afternoon.
