This is the first day of spring but Mother Nature has chosen to hang a bummer on us.
Snow begins first on the west coast, then spreads to central and the south coast before arriving in the east and on the Avalon tonight. Amounts will not be significant but winds will be high.
Rob Carroll, a meteorologist with the Gander Weather Office, says that will all turn to rain and southern areas will be in for a drenching.
Winds will gust to 100 tonight in many areas including the Avalon; the south coast is in for up to 50 mm while the metro region will get about 15 mm.
Labrador is in for a lot of snow, especially central and southeastern with about 25 cm by this time tomorrow.
