Parks Canada is going to light the Signal Hill Star today.

Some people have been calling for the measure.

The star usually shines just during the Christmas period, but now It will be shining throughout the current COIVID-19 medical crisis.

Clarenville to Illuminate Star on Bare Mountain

Meanwhile, the Town of Clarenville is following the lead of Parks Canada, and is illuminating its own star on Bare Mountain.

The town says its star will join the one on Signal Hill as symbols of hope and positivity.
