The COVID-19 pandemic is having an impact on the wedding plans of many couples.
While the bulk of local weddings occur in the summer months, spring vacation weddings down south are also very popular.
Craig Murphy, a local marriage commissioner, says he’s already heard from a number of brides whose plans have been cancelled.
Some are changing their plans by either having their weddings here at home, or cancelling the receptions and using Skype or Facetime to share their nuptials with family and friends.
He says the minimum number of people who need to be present at a wedding is five. That includes the couple, the officiant and two witnesses.
