Go Bus operations in the metro region will continue despite the closure of its Para-Transit facility due to a recent positive case of COVID-19 among its employees.
The affected employee was notified by Public Health on Sunday and has been in self-isolation ever since.
Out of what’s being called “an abundance of caution” Go Bus is closing its facility and all employees have been sent home for self-isolation.
Go Bus says the employee was not in a role that interacts with passengers, the pubic or transit vehicles. The affected employee’s last time in the Go Bus Para-Transit facility was Friday, March 20.
The Go Bus service will remain in operation, shifting to local taxi companies already contracted and trained to provide the service.
