Marine Atlantic is bringing in significant reductions to align with advice from health professionals.
Effective April 1st, a passenger limit of 100 per crossing will be introduced to further promote social distancing. The Gulf ferries will also introduce enhanced screening measures and deny passage to anyone exhibiting potential signs of COVID-19 including fever, cough, difficulty breathing or sore throat.
Restaurant service will no longer be offered on the vessels; instead passengers will be offered a pre-packaged box lunch. Retail shops, snack bars and bar service were already closed.
Meanwhile, the ferries are tied up due to high winds.
