Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada has told the United States that it would be a “mistake” for them to station troops along the Canadian border.
Trudeau was responding to reports suggesting that US President Donald Trump is discussing plans to station troops along the Canadian border amid fears surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
The United States now has the largest number of cases of COVID-19 in the world.
Prime Minister Trudeau says Canada and the US enjoy the longest unmilitarized border in the world.
