There is a new start line for the Tely Ten Road Race this year but organizers are not worried about it affecting anything.
The usual starting point at MacNamara road is affected by construction on a round-about in the area. The project will not be finished by next Sunday.
Randy Ball, race director, says the new location is exactly where the race started years ago, only back then the road was not wide enough.
Now with four lanes, the new starting point is opposite Octagon Pond on Topsail Road.
He says the new start is not a problem. The only thing they were worried about was rerouting the bus.
