Essential workers have been on the front line during the COVID-19 pandemic ensuring everyone has access to necessities like food, transport and healthcare.

At 7 p.m. people stood on their porches banging pots and pans, playing instruments or yelling at the top of their lungs, creating noise any way they could.

Vehicles were blaring their horns, ships in the harbour bellowed and cities and towns all over Newfoundland and Labrador echoed with alarms and whistles of every kind.
