The lobster fishery is set to open on April 18 but Premier Dwight Ball says if it opens at all, it will have to be in a safe and careful way.
Ball says they are working with public health to figure out the best way to go about the situation as distancing and hygiene still have to be top of mind.
However, he says it is a little early to say.
The premier points out that there are other conditions at play like currency and global markets. At this time, he says that access to the markets may be difficult so work is ongoing to make a plan.
