The Dominion grocery store on Stavanger Drive has been closed for cleaning after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The store closed its doors on Thursday afternoon, placing barricades at each specially-established entrance and exit.
Mark Boudreau, the director of corporate affairs with Loblaw Atlantic, confirms that a worker tested positive for the virus. They last worked on March 20.
They are reaching out to public health officials and are taking a number of steps to minimize risk, including increased sanitization protocols and enforcing social-distancing practices in the store.
Boudreau anticipates the store will re-open tomorrow following a thorough cleaning.
