While it can be a challenge to follow updates on COVID-19, let alone explain what is happening to your children, a family from Winnipeg used some of their downtime to help share an important message with children across the country.
During his March 22 update, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau addressed kids about the ways that they can help out during this pandemic. While the world may feel different, and certainly their activities have been impacted, Trudeau encouraged children to continue practicing social distancing for their family, friends, and everyone around them.
Tyler Walsh found the statement powerful, and with the help of his two sons, created an animation using LEGO that Walsh believes all kids will want to watch.
The video depicts a LEGO Justin Trudeau outside his faithfully-recreated house, sharing encouraging words for children across Canada. This, of course, while practicing social-distancing.
It has received significant attention across the country, with many parents saying their kids were glued to the screen for the speech.
The short video even caught the attention of the real Justin Trudeau, who thanked the Walsh family for creating the animation and helping spread the message.
This is really great, Tyler. I think my kids – and a whole lot of others – will get a kick out of this, all while hearing how they can help out too. Thanks for helping spread that message.
