Eastern Health has opened a new drive-through COVID-19 testing clinic in Burin to collect samples from those who have been referred for testing.

The clinic will take patients who have been screened by 811, by appointment only.

The clinic, located at the College of the North Atlantic in Burin, will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This week, public health officials confirmed the province’s first case of COVID-19 in a long-term care facility in St. Lawrence.

The Burin appointments only drive-through COVID-19 clinic is only for patients who have been screened by the NL Health Line 811, and as a result have been referred to the clinic by 811 for required testing.
