WorkplaceNL is extending the validity of commercial diver licenses that may have expired or will expire before the holder is able to obtain their medical exam.

Occupational divers with a certificate of medical fitness that expires between February 28 and June 1 of this year can now dive up to and including August 1.

Normally a diver must complete a medical fitness exam and renew their license. WorkplaceNL says that they understand if people may not feel comfortable in going to get their medical.
