The provincial government says there is one new case of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The new case is in the Eastern Health region bringing the province’s total to 242.
Contact tracing by public health is underway.
129 people have recovered, that’s up 9 from Saturday. Three people have died.
Seven people are in hospital due to the virus, while three people are in intensive care.
To date, 4,182 people have been tested.
By region, there are: 227 cases in Eastern Health; 8 in Central Health; 6 in Labrador-Grenfell Health; and 1 in Western Health.
By age, there are: 20 ages 19 and under; 37 between ages 20-29; 33 between ages 40-49; 53 between ages 50-59; 53 between 60-69; and 46 who are 70 and above.
The Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald reminds the public to strictly adhere to public health orders on Easter Sunday.
There were no daily briefings held by government over the weekend, however Dr. Fitzgerald, Premier Dwight Ball and Health Minister John Haggie will be back providing daily updates Monday at 2:00 p.m..
The new case is in the Eastern Health Region.
